Spending a sorcerer's PP's

Advice

Grand Lodge

So I've just hit level 3 with my sorcerer, and am thinking about how to spend my PP. I currently have 16 PP.

Any suggestions ?

Sczarni

2PP - lv1 wands
2PP - lv3 potions
1PP - lv2 scrolls

There is also multiple Faction rewards to spend PP on. For example, Sczarni faction needs 10 fame, 1pp for Knowledge(local) specialization(class skill). Silver Crusade has shining wayfinder even.

The other thing to bear in mind is that 16 PPs is just enough for the 5,450 gpRaise Dead spell, if you wind up needing it, and that still leaves you 8 PP, or 2,760 gp short for coming fully back, as you also have to get two Restorations to remove those negative levels...

However, for things of use:

Wand of Cure Light Wounds
Wand of Magic Missile (although not worth it if you have MM as one of your spells known

Wand of Protection from Evil
Wand of Endure Elements
Scroll of Comprehend Languages (1 PP gets you a scroll with 6 castings, IIRC)

Wand of Mage Armor
Wand of Expeditious Retreat
Wand of Shield

Really, think of a tool belt for spells, and consider which you could buy using 2 PP, or just spend gp to get.

Scroll of lesser restoration (five castings) for 2 PP is my personal favourite right now. Clerics no longer have to prepare it, and tons of classes have access to the spell.

Seconded. I'm also a big fan of a scroll of resist energy x5, since you don't have to designate the energy type until casting.

Actually, for the same reason, a scroll of alter self x5 might be a good purchase. There are some humanoids with some pretty cool abilities out there.
