So, I'm new to PFS, and I've got a question. When you read through the chronicle for an adventure it lists the items found during this scenario...however, when running the scenario it states that you could find other items....I'm running the first of the Intro sessions currently, and for getting into the warehouse there is the potential to get a few extra items....do the players get to keep these after the scenario ends, or only what is on the sheet?

The players may use what they pick up during a scenario, at the end, all items collected are considered pooled and the gold split (the gold amount they get on the chronicle). The items from the session that they have access to are the ones listed on the chronicle.. not everything they found
so unfortunately Braindead the Barbarian doesn't get to automatically keep the +1 sword of swartz... unless it's on the chronicle then he can buy it, however, he can use it during the session.

I think I know the answer to this, but I just want to be sure. THe part of the scenario I'm thinking about lists some items in a chest, but those items don't show up later in the chronicle sheet....are those not left over after the game is done? Same goes for the letter opener...is that not left over if the players talked someone into donating it to them?

ahhh, gotcha, so the stuff they find gets sold off and they split the proceeds, whats left is the 'good' stuff that they didn't sell. Thanks!
That's not quite right. Basically, they sell *everything* at the end of the scenario.
Players get only gold at the end of a scenario. The items listed on the Chronicle give them access to that item, not the item itself. Players still need to buy the items listed (at the normal price) if they want them.
They do not need to meet the Fame requirements for purchasing items listed on a Chronicle.
Edit: I should note that this is explained in the Guide to Pathfinder Society Organized Play, which is a free download.

Not quite...
What's on the list in the end is typically anything not found on the always available list.
Everything is sold. Even the swords of awesomesauce. Then gold is split. You can buy the sword of awesomesauce paying full price from ye old always available vendor that you just sold that same sword too. Oddly the vendor has a reproduction device behind his counter. He'll sell the exact same sword he just sold you to your buddy too.
*There is no real story system. Essentially it's a mechanical way to keep us all on the same wealth curve.

See, that was my understanding, but as I posted in another thread (which hasn't been answered yet) I noticed that there was an item that was to be placed in amongst the treasure for Tier 4-5, that wasn't on the Chronicle (namely +2 bracers of armor) and I am certain that is not on the always available list.

Bracers of armor +2 are 4,000 gp. Tier 4-5 characters should have anywhere from 12 - 30 Fame, with most having ~18 Fame at level 4. Characters with 18 Fame gain access to items of 5,250 gp or less through their faction, so there's not really any need to list it on the Chronicle.
