Help building a Two weapon fighter

Advice

Okay so I'm building a two weapon fighter with the two blade sword as his weapon of choice. I need help with feats, they are so numerous and, frankly, overwhelming!

Common sense dictates I take the two weapon fighting tree, and I am pretty sure I am going to take Weapon specialization/focus trees, but that leaves me with a good deal more feats. I was looking at two weapon rend with the rending fury tree, and I kind of think sundering is cool.

That's what I am looking at for now, but I don't really know what else might be good. What have other people done in the past? Am I missing anything cool?

apparently people like Double Slice as a Feat.

Really the best place to look is here which is a guide to TWF Builds, from the Guide to Class Guides sticky.

If you have a specific style you want to build your character around, let people know what you have in mind and they might have suggestions more personalized towards the character you envision.

hm, if you are not too focused on the two blade sword as the weapon choice, consider taking 2 levels in Titan Mauler barbarian

if you do that, you will be able to wield two-handed weapons in one arm, will make you for sure feel as super strong, and as bonus this means you can use these weapons now in dual wielding too

benefits: could use two large weapons like falchion or greatsword in a hand what allows you to use them for Two Weapon Fighting, you also get a minor bonus against enemies larger than you

minus: you get some negatives on attacks to hit, so you would need those Weapon focus benefits for your chosen weapon

This idea can benefit from Elritch Heritage (Giant) for both flavor (to feel even more like the strong guy) and more. For taking fighter levels after the 2 barbarian ones I suggest Two Weapon Fighter Archetype, (for the level 11 ability later what you would want with this combo idea) AND maybe also take the Gladiator archetype if you like the performance fighting idea.

the irony is that falchion should be a one handed weapon but in 3rd edition and Pathfinder it is instead (one of the best) a two handed weapon, realistically this weapon would be ideal for your dual wielding Blade Master

of course you could in theory also use TWO two blade swords like this, but I can only imagine that ending very messy

Wielding two greatswords is bad. Two Sawtooth Sabres, good.

See them here.

No, I really want to use the double sword. I want the build to emphasize it. :/

1. don't forget that when you get an AOO you double your str modifier because you're using a 2 handed weapon
2. two weapon fighter either half elf or human
3. either two weapon fighter or mobile fighter archetype
4. improved inititive + reactionary-trait is good for damn near any build
5. maybe pick up 2-3 levels in something that bumps damage quickly
2 in barbarian, ranger 0r 3 in rogue, ninja or viv alchemist
6 the dodge mobility spring attack tree while basic is still gold
7. if you got the cha then eldritch heritage orc get up to str of beast
8. anything more require specific knowledge of what you're actually wanting to do.
9. pick up power attack but not before 5-6 level

that s a bastard-sword-like signature weapon of the red mantis, not really a two handed weapon either

anyway, so the weapon for the concept has to be two blade sword, then either consider wielding two at once, or focus on the normal and simple two weapon fighter archetype with one

What he is saying is that using two Sawtooth Sabres is a better idea because you don't take nasty to-hit penalties for using weapons that aren't light.

maybe, but my suggestion was based on the 2 levels of Titan mauler which would make no sense if it isn't using two big weapons

And blackbloodtroll was likely commenting in regards to a straight fighter, considering that is more likely what the OP is interested in.

Yes, the fighter.
Sawtooth Sabres are also nice when you need a free hand, like when you are grappled.

Busy now. I'll help later.

Ok.
First, read my guide listed above and then understand why moving sucks for a Two Weapon Fighter.

Now you have chosen a Double Weapon which has good AND bad points.

Now maximising your choice (It can be VERY good btw)

Now there are 2 options I'd pick.

Maximising Damage potential I would say go Dawnflower Dervish- combat operating with TWF for Full attacks and THand for AOO's and Moves (Until you get rapid attack)

A bonus of Dawnflower Dervish is you still get normal Weapon Training and your 2nd group could be Bows- so you don't suck at ranged.

IF you want to pursue this- remember fighter will saves suck.
Go Half-Elf with Duel minded trait and Iron Will and make BIRTHMARK one of your 2 traits.
That's +4 to will saves and +8 vs Mind Affecting (2racial/2 trait) at 1st level

1- Power Attack, Weapon Fcs
2- TWF
3- Iron Will
4- Weapon Spec
5- Doubleslice
6- ITWF
7-
8- Gtr Weapon Fcs
9-
10-
11- Dazing Assault
12- TWR
13
14- Gtr Weapon Spl

OR Since you said you wanted to be good at manuveres.

Dwarf Lore Warden focusing on Dwarven Urgosh.
Throw in Lunge at level 7. Take 0 manuvere feats. Lore warden gets tons of bonuses to CM's already. Just use Lunge so you don't provoke.

The Dervish gets Psudo Pounce, Lore Warden is smarter and better with CM's

Ok.
Half-Elf. (duel mind+2 will, racial +2 Enchant, Low light vis)
Str 16
Dex 16
Wis 12
Con 12
Int 13
Cha 8

Traits- Birthnark +2 vs Mind Effect
2-??

Dawnflower Dervish
1- EWP: Doublesword, PA (fight 2 handed level 1)
2- TWF, Bravery
3- Iron Will, Burst of Speed
4- Weapon Spec
5- Blindfight Wpn Train+1
6- ITWF
7- Skill Fcs: UMD or Lunge Desert Stride
8- Gtr Fcs
9- Combat Exp Wpn Train +2
10- Moonlight stalker (UMD wand of blur)
11- Doubleslice, [ooc]Rapid aattack[/b]
12- Dazing Assault
13- TWR Wpn Train
14- Gtr Wpn Spec
15- Big Game Hunter lighnting Strike
16 Feat, Retrain Daze Assault for Stun
17- Feat
