Here it is:
Prereq: Spell Focus (Divination) – Added by my GM
Benefit: You can spontaneously cast any spell you know of the divination school by sacrificing a prepared spell of equal or greater level. For example, if you suddenly have need of the 2nd-level spell locate object, you can sacrifice a prepared 2nd-level spell (such as mirror image) or any prepared spell of a higher level to cast it on the spot.
This is the errata’d 3.5 version, not the Advanced Race Guide version. I can’t use it in the broken way of casting spells from other class lists, nor can it be a spell I don’t know. Unlike the ARG version, the casting time isn’t bumped up to a full-round action.
So now that I have Spontaneous Divination, I’m hoping to make good use of it. Everyone knows that the problem with divination spells is that they can be very situational, but can be amazing when the situation comes up. So Spontaneous Divination allows you to have that spell whenever it comes up. There are 3 different things I hope to accomplish, and I'll have examples of each underneath.
1) Find Pathfinder Spells for Spontaneous Divination.
2) Find 3.5 Spells for Spontaneous Divination. I’m allowed to do spell research to bring some of these spells into Pathfinder.
Divination
Level: Bard 3, sorcerer/wizard 3
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
When you cast this spell, you negatively influence the randomness of fortune for the target. Whenever the affected creature undertakes an action involving random chance (specifically, whenever any die roll is made for the creature, including attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws), two separate rolls are made and the worse result applied.
They only save or suck spell of divination. (The 8th level Prediction of Failure is another, I suppose, but it’s kind of a suck or suck spell) Might as well make use of that Spell Focus (Divination) and have divinations that can contribute in combat. I’m cackling madly at the thought of giving my improved familiar a wand of ill omen and then casting this right afterward.
Divination
Level: Cleric 4, sorcerer/wizard 4
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 swift action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 round/level
This spell gives you a +10 bonus on caster level checks to overcome the spell resistance of a specific creature. Assay resistance is effective against only one specific creature per casting, and you must be able to see the creature when you cast the spell.
Obviously useful, obviously situational.
3) The broadest of all, make my own spells for Spontaneous Divination. Again, I can do spell research.
Divination (Scrying)
Level: Bard 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Components: V, S, F
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Effect: Magical sensor
Duration: 1 hour/level or until triggered, then 1 round/level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
You imbue a Fine object (such as a coin, stone, or other innocuous item) with a dormant magical scrying sensor. Anyone attempting to detect its magical aura must succeed on a caster level check (DC 15 + your caster level). At any one time during the spell’s duration, as a standard action you can concentrate upon the object, enabling you to hear or see (your choice) as if you were in the object’s location. This effect otherwise functions as if you had cast clairaudience/clairvoyance in the object’s area. You have no control over the object’s movement and gain no special senses. Spymaster’s coin functions only on the plane of existence you are currently occupying. You must continue to concentrate to see or hear through the spymaster’s coin. If you stop concentrating, the spell’s effect ends. Once activated, the scrying effect of the spell lasts for a maximum number of rounds equal to your caster level.
Focus: One object of Fine size.
Now imagine a spell with all of that except the duration is 1 day/level. He loved this spell a lot, and stockpiled something like 60 of these and had them distribute through a city in order to figure out something or other.
...
With that, any suggestions for helping me reach these 3 goals and make Spontaneous Divination a powerful (but not cheesy and stupid) ability?

do you have domains? actually, are you a cleric at all?
some info about your character, class(es), level would actually be helpful for us, so that we get the picture about the situation better
Oh, I suppose that would be a good idea. ;)
I'm a level 8 elf diviner wizard. I have an improved familiar, (A Lyrakien) some crafting feats, Spell Focus (Divination) and now Spontaneous Divination.
The rest of the party is a bard, a cleric, (5 levels of cleric, 3 levels of... dragon) another wizard, (illusionist) and a sorcerer. (with a level 6 fighter cohort dedicated to archery; archer by far has the best DPR) We don't really have a good melee character. Well, maybe the dragon/cleric will be good at melee. (Homebrew race/archetype)
Hope that helps!

Well, found some neat 3.5 spells in the meantime:
Divination
Level: Bard 1, cleric 1, sorcerer/wizard 1
Components: V,S,M,F
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: One book/round
Duration: Concentration, up to 1 round/level
With this spell you can touch a book or scroll and absorb the knowledge contained within as if you had just read it. This is equivalent to a solid reading but not deep study --- the character does not gain perfect recall of the information, just whatever he would have gotten from reading it completely once. If you can’t read the language of the source, the spell has no effect. This spell cannot be used to prepare spells or to cast magical scrolls, nor does it have any effect when reading a magical book (such as a tome of understanding)
Material Component: A scrap of parchment and a pinch of tinder.
Focus: A thin crystal disc.
This one is just fun. Read an entire library in a day with Spontaneous Divination.
Divination
Level: Sorcerer/wizard 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 full round
Range: Touch
Target: Willing living creature touched
Duration: 1 day/level (D)
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
With a touch, you feel the bond between you and your companion grow stronger.
The subject of the spell knows the direction and approximate (within 10%) distance he must travel to reach you, enabling him to find you under almost any circumstances. He might not know the best route, however, since the spell does not account for obstacles. The spell works at any distance and continues even if you die. If you travel to a different plane, or if either you or the target enters an antimagic field or similar area, the spell is temporarily suppressed.
Divination
Level: Assassin 3, bard 3, paladin 3, sorcerer/wizard 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 day/level
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
You sense a sudden, empathic connection with the subject, as though you were constantly a mere step or two behind.
You designate a particular action when casting this spell. If the subject engages in or commits that particular action during the spell's duration, you are instantly alerted of that fact, regardless of the distance between you and the subject (and even if the subject is on another plane). For instance, you could command the spell to alert you if the subject casts a spell or kills someone. You do not necessarily know the precise details of when or how the subject committed the designated action; you only know, instantly, that he did so.
I love these two spells for it's 1 day/level duration. It's perfect for Spontaneous Divination; just sacrifice whatever unused spells you have at the end of the day.

Anyone out there with ideas for Spontaneous Divination? We diviners appreciate all insights. *cough cough*
