Smite evil vs incorporeal enemies

Rules Questions

If you have a unmagical weapon and are using smite evil, can you hurt evil incorporeal enemies?
Or would you need a magic weapon as well?

You still need magical weapons.

Since nothing in the description of Smite Evil states the weapon can now be treated like a magical weapon, RAW you still need a magical weapon to fight incorporeal creatures. On the upside, you'd get to keep your deflection bonus to AC until someone scrounged up a magic weapon to kill it :D

Fortunately, Ghostbane Dirge (which among other things lets nonmagical weapons do 1/2 damage to incorporeals) is a 1st-level spell for Paladins.
Unfortunately, that still means you need to be at least 4th level to cast it (though a clerical buddy could do so at 3rd level).
