Racial Heritage Feat

i am making a character for pathfinder society play. Im a little confused on how this feat works. It says "for the purpose of taking traits, feats, how spells and magic items affect you, and so on." My question is on the "so in". does this mean i am also granted their racial abilities. such as if i chose elf would i then become proficient in longbows as they are. Thanks for the help.
