Immunity to Polymorph

Rules Questions

I can't seem to find an answer to this in the FAQ or errata for APG, but have they ever tidied up the fact that at level 20 a Protean Bloodline sorcerer gets immunity to the positive effects of his own bonus spells?

Or is there some rule hidden somewhere that a spellcaster can overcome his own immunities when he wishes it?

There is no rule anywhere I am aware of that allows for a creature to drop its immunities.

This might cover it.

Quote:
Voluntarily Giving up a Saving Throw: A creature can voluntarily forego a saving throw and willingly accept a spell's result. Even a character with a special resistance to magic can suppress this quality.

Avatar of Chaos (Ex): At 20th level, you are infused with the essence of raw chaos. You gain immunity to acid, petrification, and polymorph effects (except when cast on self), as well as a +2 bonus to save DCs and on checks to overcome spell penetration against creatures with the lawful subtype.

Pretty clearly states you can use your own spells on yourself.

I clearly missed that bit of errata - cheers for that.

Also, that isn't crash hot for anyone wanting to make a plant type race and play a druid.

The Exchange

We can't find that text "effects (except when cast on self)" in the errata PDF for APG that is available at this time. If that text is present in the actual physical copy of the 2nd printing of the APG then this is another case of errata not getting listed in the errata PDF (see light etc.)

Its right on the PRD, just do a search for "Avatar of Chaos" and it comes up.

The Exchange

Ok so then it's added into the PRD and the actual physical second printing of the APG but its not in the 1st to 2nd printing errata PDF.

D20pfsrd.com is now updated to match the PRD but we always make these updates based off of the errata pdfs.
