So the Beastmaster archetype for Rangers allows you to have multiple companions. The gnome favoured class bonus for Rangers gives DR to your pet. Would that apply to all your pets? or would you have to divide that amougst them all?

You would have to choose a companion if the wording says "companion" with an "s" to make it plural.

I am not sure how this works in pathfinder, wasn't in 3.x a basic ability to have as many companions one wants by splitting the available HD accordingly?

There was a prestige class that allows you to have multiple animal companions in 3.5, but the basic class did not allow it.

I think the PrC was the animal lord, but I am not sure if that is the correct name or not.

OP, I think the Archetype you need for multiple companions in Pathfinder is the Pack Leader, other ones may also work (not sure)

In PF it is the beastmaster
