I disagree. The ISWG says Earhtfall created the Inner Sea, not that it was the point of impact. When you look at the Stolen Map, there is a big circular hole in the middle of Azlant. I am pretty sure that is where the impact point is. The crust shifted causing Garund to split from Avistan and rotate towards where Azlant used to be. The top of Garund fits almost perfectly with Avistan if the Inner Sea was not present.

Yeah, I always thought the primary impact was close to where the Sun Colony is located, out in the ocean west of the Inner Sea Region. Figured a telltale ring of shattered islands would be the thing too look for from space.
@pad300, I was mainly thinking of "visible from the moon", for the sake of cool imagery that could be mined from it. The halfway point between Golarion and its moon would probably be the second distance I was thinking of most, for passing aetherships/boneships/oma/flumphs/etc.

From what I can recall, James Jacobs has said that there were more than one impact - the one containing the Starstone did indeed hit around where Absalom is (that part of the Inner Sea does look suspiciously round, doesn't it?).
