Question Regarding the Flagbearer feat

I currently have a character using the flag bearer feat from the Inner Sea World Guide. He is currently holding the flag in one hand and using a buckler on that arm, while fighting with a one handed weapon. Is it possible to attach the flag to something like a reach weapon and wield that weapon? If it is, would it be restricted to certain types of reach weapons, like a longspear or a lance, but not a bardiche (harder to swing a weapon with a flag attached, but not much harder to stab, ect)? This is for a pathfinder society character. If this was for a home game character I would just work this out with my DM.

Thanks for the help

The flag bearer feat requires you to have and equip a flag, which takes up one hand. The only way I know of to do something similar to what you want to take a cavalier archetype that lets you attach your flag to a lance.

Other than that, no, you can't :(

Thanks

You should take Catch Off-guard and use it as an improvised weapon! ;p

The banner of the ancient kings magic item allows you to use flagbearer with the banner attached to a longspear.

Thanks Jon, though that is a long way off for now (currently 1xp shy of level 3), but definitely an item I'd want to grab anyway, would need 28 more fame to purchase it (and the cash).

Sorry for the necro but I think I'm missing something. Isn't this feat illegal? It isn't listed with the other feats from ISG. Was it legal before and a few people got grandfathered in?

Flagbearer is a legal feat.

Flagbearer is on page 286 of my copy of the ISWG, and is not one of the explicitly illegal feats listed, so it is legal for PFS.

Failed my reading check. I wasn't reading the part with ISWG, but rather the part about what was and wasn't legal from the old Campaign Guide. Thanks for clearing that up. I knew I was missing something.
