As we had discussed in the prep of your character, your character would have heard the combat with the scorpions and it would have finally died down. Now there would be some voices near by which would indicate that it wasn't the scorpions who won.
I placed you on the combat map to let you see where your character was compared to the rest of the party.

Question for you though. Why Eschew Materials? There are very very few cleric spells that it will effect. Clerics need their divine focus, a holy symbol or in your case your birthmark, but we are not big on needing other material components.

Divine Focus (DF): A divine focus component is an item of spiritual significance. The divine focus for a cleric or a paladin is a holy symbol appropriate to the character's faith. The divine focus for a druid or a ranger is a sprig of holly, or some other sacred plant.
If the Components line includes F/DF or M/DF, the arcane version of the spell has a focus component or a material component (the abbreviation before the slash) and the divine version has a divine focus component (the abbreviation after the slash).
Weapon Focus (Combat)
Choose one type of weapon. You can also choose unarmed strike or grapple (or ray, if you are a spellcaster) as your weapon for the purposes of this feat.
Prerequisites: Proficiency with selected weapon, base attack bonus +1.

I am waiting for that! I remember specifically this is something I am waiting for.

Nit pick away, our not hurting my feelings. I didn't expect to get it right fresh out of the gate :) I am here to learn and have fun with all of this. Larayn is inspired by a D&D character I played. She was really cool; she had a spiritual side and a boat. What more could you ask for?
Anyone with a boat is a winner in my book.
Any thoughts on the new feats? Alertness is always useful and will work well with your skill in sense motive. Lightning reflexes can shore up your Ref save, and Extra Channel is always welcome.

Hey folks! I am thinking of hot-swapping my character Occa out for Ernest 'love' Lowfield, a dwarf trapsmith. This should balance things out cleric wise and add a bit more depth to the group.
Any opposition?
As I said in the main thread, I have no problem whatsoever with someone else taking the shocks instead.
