Channel Energy and Healer's Blessing

Rules Questions

My first Pathfinder character, a Cleric, just hit level 6.

One of his domains is Healing, so now he is granted "Healer's Blessing".

Does the 50% bump to cure spells work with Channel Energy healing?

Some of the Pathfinder rules get hazy if you dont already know 3.5, which I don't.

Nope. Channeling is not the same as casting a spell.

No, Healer's Blessing specificly relates to "cure" spells. This is typically understood to mean any spell with the word "cure" in the title (cure light wounds, mass cure moderate wounds, etc) but not other abilities that restore HP or even healing spells that do not have "cure" in the title (Heal, for example).

So It does not apply to Channel Energy because it is not named "cure" and because it is not a spell.

Other HP restoring spells besides the "Cure" line do not apply for the same reason that good clerics and oracles cannot spontaneously cast anything but the "cure" line.

Note that all healing spells are defined as "Conjuration (Healing)", and there is no such thing as "Conjuration (Cure)" spells. If Healer's Blessing applied to everything, it state "Conjuration (Healing)" or maybe just "Healing" in the domain ability description, but Healer's Blessing specificly states "cure" spells.

Thanks. What you have said is pretty much what I had guessed, but I figured I may as well ask. I had played 4E previously, so key words were used quite a bit. Seems Pathfinder is similar, though the key words are not as clearly highlighted as such.
