Haunting Mists

Rules Questions

Is the caster of Haunting Mists automatically immune to its effects?

Haunting Mists is an illusion (figment). The caster has proof that the illusion is not real (as he has created it), so he automatically disbelieves the illusion.

Does disbelieving Haunting Mists negate the sight obstruction(concealment), the Wisdom damage/shaken condition, or both?

Probably the caster is immune. This topic was already asked before. You can search the messageboards for faster result.

I had searched.

I found one topic on Haunting Mists specifically... it dealt largely with the range of the spells.

I searched for variations on Illusion, Caster, Immune, Disbelieve, Effects, etc, and found a variety of topics. "Ye Olde Debate: Detect Magic vs. Illusions", "Shadow Evocation effects on Caster" and the one about whether or not an invisible character can see themselves. None of these answered my question. So I posted a topic.

The problem is I can argue the point in both directions. So I was at a sort of standstill in an argument with myself. Never a good place to be.

I understand, I usually do the same since I am rules fanatic. I believe caster is immune to his own illusions otherwise logic would just fail completely.

Since entire spell is an illusion, note at the text "An illusion of misty vapor inhabited by shadowy shapes arises around you", if someone disbelieves it, it would negate the concealment also. At least that's how I believe it works.
