Benefit: You gain a +1 trait bonus on Knowledge (history) checks and bardic knowledge checks, and Knowledge (history) is always a class skill for you.
Bardic knowledge wrote:
A bard adds half his class level (minimum 1) to all Knowledge skill checks and may make all Knowledge skill checks untrained.

Does that mean that someone with bardic knowledge gets the +1 bonus to every knowledge skill roll, because every knowledge skill roll is a bardic knowledge roll?

I dunno, it sounds like maybe the writer of the trait isn't familiar with the differences between Pathfinder and 3.5 in regard to Bards.

It is probably supposed to mean that you add 1 to all bardic knowledge checks about history, but as written you're right, it applies to all of them

Dark Archive

As written the feat gives a bard with BK, to add a +1 trait bonus to all knowledges, and ironically also the same to know (History), which doesn't stack anyway.

So it's a great bard trait, or a know (History) class skill trait.

...Except that in Pathfinder there's no such thing as a "bardic knowledge check". The ability called Bardic Knowledge is nothing more than a modification of how the bard makes ordinary Knowledge skill checks.

Dark Archive

It is LoF content now that I look it up. It's unconverted content, or fudgework, meaning it's up to the DM to allow, modify, or disallow.

Ah, well there you go then.

Thanks for the answers. I'll ask my DM then.

I was looking at making a bard for Pathfinder Society and giving him this trait. Given that the feat Breadth of Experience grants you a +2 bonus to all knowledge checks (as well as Professions), and a trait is generally supposed to account for "half a feat", I think it would be valid. I'll ask one of the guys tonight when I go what they think.

Check source it maybe from 3.5 era book or source.

What is the Source of said trait book and Page plaese?

Sczarni

It's listed on the Additional Resources page for PFS. Legacy of Fire player's companion. It's a Human Race Trait.
