So it seems pretty clear that improved familiars, via omission, do not grant their master the skill/save/whatever bonus to their master for hangin' around (+3 Fly from bat familiar, +3 hp from toad familiar, +4 initiative from greensting scorpion familiar, etc.).

What about the improved familiars that are drawn from the regular familiar list but have either the celestial, entropic, fiendish, or resolute simple templates added to them?

Those grant the same bonuses that the standard familiars of their type would. i.e.a Celestial Raven is treated as a standard Raven for this purpose.

That's what I figured and have always played, just wasn't sure what the official ruling was
