Just a silly thought I came up with today. By RAW, one can take the half-dragon template and add it on to any living, corporeal creature. That means you could get a half-dragon true dragon.
If you were to take, for example a red dragon and give it the red half-dragon template it gains very little in terms of special abilities, but does gain some very nice boosts to its ability scores themselves.
Or, you could take a red dragon and make it half blue dragon. Basically the same deal, except now it has two breath weapons, its natural cone of fire, and a 60ft. line of electricity from the template. And it gains the same ability score boosts mentioned earlier
...This is not RAI at all, I'm sure, but it's hilarious, legal by RAW, and I am totally going to use the red + half blue (or maybe blue + half red) to make a villainous purple dragon.

Whatever, purple dragons are weaksauce. Pink dragons, on the other hand, are terrifying.
Red plus white eh?... Very well, it shall be done! (Though personally I've always pictured pink dragons having a breath weapon of viscous, entangling goop rather than having fire and ice breath weapons)

Meh -- we had a similar topic a couple of months back if I recall correctly.
You might want to try and find it in the archives because I think JB or JJ joined in the conversation.
Did my cursory scan of the archives before posting the topic to see if there was anything already on it. I didn't find anything. Apparently my search-fu needs work.

When you are breathing what amounts to a burning slushie on everyone's faces I think that counts as 'entangling goop'.

Here's a bit
and a little more
I'll keep looking for more and post it as I come across it. I'm certainly not annoyed or anything that the subject came back up, I'm just trying to help you locate the information you desire.

I remember 2nd edition's Draconomicon, with its rules for dragon cross-breeds. You could literally breed a red and a gold (well, you could if you kept them from killin each other and wasn't good).
We fought a black-gold hybrid once, and it was the nastiest thing that party ever encountered. The DM described the breath weapon as follows (I'll try and remember it exactly):
"The dragon spits a stream of steaming fluid from its gullet that shoots out 120 feet. You notice that the vegetation withers and dies, burnt holes appearing in the leaves and bark. Roll a save vs. breath weapon."
Dice roll
"Some of you have been covered with the slimy, hot, spit--it burns like acid and is sticky, almost like glue."
Next round
"The residue of that breath weapon on your bodies begins to sizzle and pop in the open air and it bursts into flames! Everything coated in the substance is set ablaze."
After much wailing and stop/drop/rolling.
"Yeah, that's my napalm dragon. Did you guys like her?"
NASSSSSSSS-TY.
