I support the FAQ request. Without an errata is a pointless ability.

You could have them just appear in your Spellbook at the relevant level.

Negligible ability, but it saves maybe 9,000gp.

Marking for FAQ because that isn't how Wizard spellbooks work.

It's an easy houserule fix though.
