Magic Items for Monk

Advice

Hi I'm playing an unarmed Monk and was looking for ideas for magical items. Also in an old post, I saw someone mention something about spending gold to increase ability scores. Is that a possibility? I've never heard of it.

You can buy magic items to increase ability scores. That is what they were referring to.

if you are an unarmed monk, get Amulet of Mighty Fists. Preferably with a damage enhance like flaming or acidic.

Ability bonuses (Str, Wis, Dex, Con, roughly in that order of importance)

Pearls of Power for the spellcaster to cast Mage Armor and Enlarge Person on you (if he's a stingy selfish jerk w/ his 1st level spell slots). Also when you can afford it and if there's someone capable of it... Pearl of Power for Greater Magic Fang or Greater Magic Weapon. Any monk who pays the ludicrous prices of Amulet of Mighty Fists for their enhancements is a fool.

Ring of Protection

Cloak of Resistance

Dusty Rose Iuon Stone

Monk's Robes

Amulet of Natural Armor or Amulet of Mighty Fists (for a +1 special property; you don't need to make it a +1 bonus first)

Your wizard friend will also need 7,500 gp of diamond dust and the Permanency spell and be at lvl 11.

Or buy a scroll of Permanency at 309,375 gp (1,125 gp for a lvl 5 spell * lvl 11 wizard to create it * 25 gp) Spendy, but better to make it permanent, then keep buying buffs.

Also Bracers of Armor are good idea for armor affects and additional AC
