Rules review for Kingmaker

Kingmaker

Grand Lodge

I'm going to start running this AP in a few weeks. I've been going through the first book and looking for rules that I need to review before beginning. I thought it might be helpful to myself and others to post what I've come up with. If you see anything missing here, please post to the thread, along with annotations if you've found them. :)

Weather

Swimming, Drowning, Crossing a River (CRB 108, 432)

Mounted Combat

Perception, Stealth, Encounter Distance

Getting Lost (CRB 424)

More to come I'm sure!

Scarab Sages

The best advice I can give for weather is to make up a calendar and create the weather patterns for each day, using a program or dice. The advantage of doing it yourself is that you have intimate knowledge of the weather patterns and can adjust them more easily!

Travel times (provided in AP) - you will be checking these all the time!

Mounts, carrying capacity.

Food and supplies.

Endurance checks.

Aerial combat (many monsters are flying).

Handle animal, wild empathy, and in general wild animal encounters.

encounter distance VERSUS perception, above all else (i know you said it)

it really is a tad complex

Thanks for the additional ideas. These will help a lot!
