Advice

so new campaign starting! level 3, modified 25 point buy (16=9, 17-11, 18=13)
would give me

19 str (17+human)
14 dex
16 con
9 int
10 wis
7 cha

Was thinking human doing a 2 level stint as a master of many styles for the crane line and then abandoning my lawful ways and becoming a rageaholic via barbarian.

so would look like

Master Seward:

Monk 2/Barb 1
speed: 40ft
HP: 2d8+1d12+9(12 w/favored?)
BAB:+2
AC: 16(14 raged, 17 defensive+rage)
CMB: +6 (+8 raging)
CMD: 18 (20 raging)

Attacks:
+8 OR +6/+6 Sansetsukon (1d10+12 19-20x2)

Feats:
Weapon focus
Power attack
Crane Style
Crane Wing
Crane Reposte

the + to hit looks a bit low atm but with more barb levels that will go up and the ability to block the attack most likely to hit me seems like a golden goose that will keep giving + the free AoO from it. have not selected traits yet. Also not sure about weapon but that seemed like a nice one with the wider crit range and decent dice, although one of the thoughts i had later would be using the rage power for body bludgeon (although that would be more fun than anything else)

Unless you are playing the Martial Artist monk archetype, this build simply does not work. The alignment restriction would disallow it.

you could start off lawful and then go chaotic after 2nd level and it would work just fine

How are you going to do that?

you don't need any magic or special stuff to change your alignment bud, its a conscious choice of the character you play. True certain classes do get more stiffly penalized for the change in behavior, but monk is not one of those.

It is still a slow process. How are you going to swing this by your DM?

Dark Archive

He doesn't even need to become chaotic. He just needs to shift away from lawful, which he could do in his second level, therefore becoming an ex-monk.

If his GM is really strict, atonement is pretty cheap when it comes to changing alignments.

Already done he thought the character concept was neat, and backstory for the character will involve tragedy in his life by someone "above the law". so he goes on a raging rampage of revenge again the person, leaving his character where he is at currently. anyways, as you said alignment is more of a DM issue, was hoping to get advice on the rest of the build

Grand Lodge

Yeah, atonement is quick hassle free way to go. I would hate to deal with anything else. You will still have to RP it through, just to be sure you don't get the stink-eye from your DM.

Grand Lodge

Master of Many Styles, into Totem Barbarian. Dragon style, then feral combat training.
