So who would you rather vote for? John Jackson or Jack Johnson? To be fair, the economy was tanking as Obama took office and things like unemployment peaked during his first year. No sane person could possibly believe that anything he did caused that. Since then unemployment has been on the decline.
Romney's tax plan targets himself specifically. Virtually all of his income is from capital gains and dividends and he wants to cut taxes on those. Romney's Plan: keep the Bush tax cuts in place, capital gains tax at 15%, and get rid of the Medicare tax = 40% tax cut for Mitt Romney.
People like him need to wake up and realize that they should carry the tax burden of the United States and consider it a maintenance fee on a system that allows them to become so absurdly rich.

They don't need to pay the maintenance fee. they've already got what they want out of the system. So what if the next generation is a bunch of morons with no roads, bridges, or dams? He'll be dead before any of that matters.
They're quite awake, that isn't the problem. They know full well what they're doing and why: money my dear boy.

I'm curious what people think "Obama's record on the economy" is...because that certainly isn't clear to me.
If you support Obama, there is plenty, real and imagined, to like.
If you don't support Obama, there is plenty, real and imagined, to dislike.
And really, how much control does the president have, anyway? How much of what he gets the blame (or credit) for really has anything to do with him?
The principal philosophical diversion between parties should be over fiscal matters, because that is at least a reasonable argument to have. Unfortunately for most actual conservatives, the Republican party can't seem to stay out of people's business.
