I need some form of pathfinder ruling
i am running a game with an Legion Archon in it, as a pc.
the rest of the party is lvl 7.
how does the Legion advance in levels with the party, the rules is confusing me.
2nd question
Synthesist Eidolon
Does it get a base form selection or must the synthesist purchase his starting arms and legs.
if he has to purchase these things then whats the point of being an eidolon synthesist.
because the last line of Fused eidolon, For all other cases use the normal eidolon.
I really need this answered causei have a player refuting every instance of the rules that he doesnt agree with if it isnt written as canon law, Rules as Written.

Synthesist gets one of the base forms for his eidolon just like any other summoner...
... this is where you will find the base Str, Dex, and Con that will replace the Summoner's while they are fused.
A legion archon is not a PC race, so any rules you use to advance it as a PC race are house rules.
Using the guidelines for monsters as PC races, it takes class levels, same as any other race. The legion PC would be just a straight legion when the party is level 7, and it would gain a level any time the other PCs did. When the party reaches levels 8.5, 11.5, and 14.5, the legion archon would gain a free level, as its racial abilities would diminish in usefulness as it advances. At party level 15, the legion archon would have 11 class levels.
These are only guidelines, of course. Monsters as PCs are a tricky business.
Edit: If your player is being a rules lawyer, kindly point out to him that RAW indicates that he shouldn't be playing a legion archon anyway, and that any rules for playing one are only optional guidelines. If that doesn't do it, invoke Rule 0.
