Im looking for advice on what kinds of equipment would be worthwhile to provide to a shadow companion. I know it would require ghost touch ability on the items what ever they may be... but what kind of armor, what abilities other than ghost touch should be on it? What about ways to provide it healing incorporated into the weapons or armor? Can they wear gauntlets that would allow them to interact to the physical world better? Can those be enhanced to have magic abilities and if so what do you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Personally, as a DM, I wouldn't allow this - while a pair of ghost touch gloves might let you punch a ghost, that doesn't mean the ghost can pick them up and put them on without a physical body, muscles, or hands to do so. What happens to the gloves when it phases through/onto a surface?
However, assuming your DM allows it, Menacing would be a really nice feature - it's a +1-equivalent bonus with the following effect:
This ability can only be placed on a melee weapon.
This weapon property helps allies deal with flanked foes. When the wielder is adjacent to a creature that is being flanked by an ally, the flanking bonus on attack rolls for all flanking allies increases by +2. This ability works even if the wielder is not one of the characters flanking the creature.
Since your shadow companion is almost always your flanking buddy...

Ok, Im 1 level away from summoning my shadow companion and Im still trying to figure out how I can equip it. I have looked into some things but want input from people that are know item creation mechanics. I can equip my shadow with gauntlets and brass knuckles for weapons and I can give it some kind of light armor that has its armor check penalties reduced by making it out of a certain kind of material.
So, what I want is some ideas as to enhancements can I give the weapons that would be most beneficial to the shadow and allow it to do damage other than the str. drain. Can I put a use of inflict would on it or vampire hp drain ability on it so it can heal using it. The same idea with the armor.. what do you suggest for it?
Thanks

Actually, a Ghost Touch weapon ability specifically allows an incorporeal creature to pick up and use it.
The rules are silent as to what happens when a ghost wearing Ghost Touch equipment enters a solid object.
The equipment still counts as corporeal and cannot pass through solid matter, so either the ghost cannot pass through at all, or the equipment falls off.
