Which alchemist race to choose?

Advice

I was leaning towards 1/2 orc, but gnome seems well suited too.
Highlights for the gnome:
+1/2 the number of bombs per day
Eternal Hope:

Spoiler:
Gnomes with this racial trait receive a +2 racial bonus on saving throws against fear and despair effects. Once per day, after rolling a 1 on a d20, the gnome may reroll and use the second result. This racial trait replaces the defensive training and hatred racial Traits

Pyromaniac:
Spoiler:
Gnomes with this racial trait are treated as one level higher when casting spells with the fire descriptor, using granted powers of the Fire domain, using the bloodline powers of the fire elemental bloodline or the revelations of the oracle’s flame mystery, and when determining the damage of alchemist bombs that deal fire damage

1/2 orc highlights:
+1/2 damage to bombs
+1 racial saving throw
+2 to one abiliy rather than con and cha for gnome.

There are many other differences between the races as I'm sure you're all aware, but I didn't want to tr:dr. I'd like to play an alchemist who buffs with long term spells and doesn't spend much time drinking during combat. I did like the mindchemist archtype and will probably take the first two levels of that. Otherwise I'd be throwing bombs and other splash weapons when I run out of explosives. Thanks for the advice in advance!

Goblins, Ratfolk and Tiefling are good picks too. With some of the newer race books, these choices are even better.

Yes, those are good choices too.
Goblin

Spoiler:
Ability Adjustments: –2 Strength, +4 Dexterity, –2 Charisma. Goblins are fast, but weak and unpleasant to be around.
Size: Small (gain a +1 size bonus to AC, +1 size bonus to attack rolls, –1 penalty to CMB and CMD, and +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.)
Movement: base speed (30 feet.)
Senses: darkvision (60 feet.)
Racial Skill Bonuses: +4 racial bonus on Ride and Stealth checks.
Languages: Goblins begin play speaking Goblin. Goblins with high Intelligence scores can choose any of these bonus languages: Common, Draconic, Dwarven, Gnoll, Gnome, Halfling, Orc.

Their alternate favored class ability is fire resistance (low but still there)
I like the boggle too
Spoiler:

+2 Dexterity, +2 Intelligence, -2 Charisma: Boggles are nimble and extremely smart, though they lack the mindset for social graces and can be very blunt.
Small: Boggles are Small creatures and gain a +1 size bonus to their AC, a +1 size bonus on attack rolls, a -1 penalty to their CMB and CMD, and a +4 size bonus on Stealth checks.
Fast Speed: Like goblins, boggles are fast for their size, and have a base speed of 30 feet.
Darkvision: Boggles can see in the dark up to 60 ft.
Dodge Catastrophe: Boggles receive a +1 racial bonus on Reflex saving throws against area attacks with the electricity, fire, or acid descriptors.
Goblin Blood: Boggles count as creatures with the goblinoid subtype for any effect related to race.
Mechanical Genius: At first level, Boggles gain an additional skill rank and a +2 racial bonus to skill rolls which they must apply to one of the following: Knowledge (engineering), Profession (engineering), Craft (any), Disable Device, or Use Magical Device. These skills are always considered class skills for a boggle.
Weapon Familiarity: Boggles treat any weapon with the word “boggle” in it as a martial weapon.
Languages: Boggles begin play speaking common and goblin. Boggles with high intelligence scores can choose any of these bonus languages: Draconic, Dwarven, Giant, Gnome, Halfling, or Orc.

The ratfolk is ok and has the right ability bonuses, tiefling too. Someone in the group I play in played a tiefling before and I believe that it was a +1 level mod.

And what newer race books?

Grand Lodge

There are no level adjustments in pathfinder.
Books:
Goblins of Golarion and Blood of Fiends.
