"Career" for a Transmuter

Advice

So if anyone's looked at my last couple posts I'm about to start a game and I've been struggling to come up with a character concept. I've finally narrowed it down to two ideas and I'm going to wait to choose until I have an idea of what the rest of the party is doing. Anyway, at the moment 1 of my ideas is a Crossblooded Aberrant/Protean Sorcerer (not sure on a race yet but I'm looking at a Fetchling, Gnome, or Halfling). The one thing I'm unsure of for this idea is a "career." The DM wants all the PCs to have a rank in a Craft or Profession at 1st level. With my character being a Sorcerer crafting weapons or armor seems a little pointless in my opinion and I'm not really sure what else I could do to be beneficial to the party. I was thinking with all the transmutation spells I'll be working with I could craft jewelry and eventually take the feat to allow me to make magic rings but I'm not sure. Any ideas on what would be beneficial?

Take the proffession 'Trader'. Your skilled in bartering and the purchase, sale or trade of goods. That can always help the party when buying or selling and allows you to invest in objects in one city and sell them for a profit at another.

Or take Taxidermist. In addition to making animal trophies, your skilled in skinning and preserving hides and the careful disection of animals. Many creatures have pieces that can be very valuable or usefull if you have the proper skill to remove them. IE: White Wolf pelts, Dragon hide/bones/meat/pieces, Roc Feathers or bones, etc.

As for becoming a magical crafter, I would suggest not to do it. The severe limitations on spells known for the Sorc makes it hard for them to create a lot of magic items.

Taxidermist actually seems like it would be fitting as the character is probably used to various anatomies (seeing as how he's used to warping them).

Professional Mediator (Advocate / Negotiator), then use the Diplomacy skill.

Another option would be Architect, with skill points going into Knowledge(Engineering). Another logical profession for a wizard that reshapes and reforms things. :-)

Unfortunately it has to be a Craft or Profession. It's kind of ironic that you mentioned being a mediator though as I work in a mediation office. I decided to go with my Enchanter build though and go with Profession (Scribe) seeing as how I'll get Scribe Scroll for free from being a Wizard and it could be somewhat beneficial in case I feel like becoming a Pathfinder Chronicler for whatever reason.
