Hey
I have a question about Beguiling Aura.
My party was in a fight with Nereid and the GM said that we have to save every for Beguiling Aura when we looked at the Nereid.
For Beguiling Aura the rule is this:
wrote:
Any creature sexually attracted to women runs the risk of being beguiled by a nereid if it looks upon her beauty from a distance of 30 feet or less. If the creature fails a DC 25 Will save, it is immediately fascinated. A nereid may use her suggestion spell-like ability at will against creatures that are fascinated by her beguiling aura. This is a mind-affecting compulsion effect. The save DC is Charisma-based.
Did we have to save every time or not?
Thanks

Abilities like that will generally say "Once a creature has saved against this Nereid's [ability], it is not vulnerable to the [ability] of that Nereid for [time period]." In the absence of that, I guess, yeah, you have to save continually. This functions more like a gaze attack than an aura, since it's sight-based. I'd advise closing your eyes, or maybe donning your belt of gender reversal. ;-)
