Does trophy hunter Actually get Proficiency fire arms?

Rules Questions

9 people marked this as FAQ candidate.

I just made my character a lore warden 1 trophy hunter 7 and after spending my gold I realized that I may not even have the ability to shoot my musket Properly do you think this is a error Or do i have to spend My precious feats on fire arm proficiency?

think of it this way i get grit points and gun slinger deeds just not the tools to carry ou those deeds?

I am almost certain it is an error, however I have nothing official to back that opinion up and as such currently RAW supports Trophy Hunters not being proficient in their weapons.

If you go with a half elf however you can trade adaptability for the ancestral weaponry trait and guarantee your proficiency that way.

Great!!!!!!! sarcastic

You could even call it "My Grandpappy's Rifle"

Or just spend the feat for proficiency.

You know of all the questions I've seen marked for Faq, It's amazing no one marked this one, given that it actually is a better candidate than most marked such.

Fixed that though.

Did you check the Ultimate Combat Errata thread? Because I believe it's already listed there and that could be the reason no one has flagged it yet (that and the fact this has come up before in other threads).

Have you spend a feat on Gunsmithing to make your own guns and ammo, or are you buying all those?

If you did, going Gnome and taking the Master Tinkerer alternate racial trait should give you proficiency as well. :)

I bought a gun and will trade a feat for it I guess.I bought my ammo,

I also did check the FAQ nothing so far...

I may just go Musket Master1 lore warden 7 Nd take the hit in skills for feats I am still deciding.

I took a level of musket master so i get all i need and rapid reload for free.
