Description-
The palms of these well-worn leather gloves are coated in a coarse fabric of metalic threads. Despite their fine make, they appear to be fairly standard work gloves with the exception of a rune woven into the back of the hand. These gloves are favorites of the few thieves, burglars and assassins who can afford them for their ability to escape from even the deadest of ends.

Upon touching a wall, floor or other relatively flat surface and speaking the single-syllable command word as a free action, the user is instantaneously transported to a wall, ceiling, or other surface in a straight line directly across from her original location, up to a distance of 300 feet. Appearing from the wall provokes an attack of opportunity, as the caster is momentarily disoriented from the jump. If there is no such wall to mirror the original position, the attempt fails. Objects between the caster and the wall are ignored, unless the object takes up 10'x5' or more. In this case, this object becomes the destination of the spell. Living, undead or construct creatures can not be destinations of this effect and are ignored.

After using this effect, the caster must wait 1D4+3 rounds before using it again.

So there's that. The idea is to allow for some interesting ninja-style mobility. It could be useful in utility situations, such as escaping a chase. It could also be used for some interesting fights. The one I have in mind involves a weapon collector with a room full of... weapons. He essentially teleports back and forth over the course of the battle, picking up weapons and attacking.

As for the price, it may be low or high for what the item does. Since it has a recharge and isn't spammable, I dropped the original price considerably.

I'm also not sure if the distance would be too easy to exploit, but since it's really only useful in cities or indoors the range likely won't be at the maximum often.

Thoughts?

I think (as a player) that I love this idea.

As a DM, I hate it. Being able to jot around a city every 30 seconds and having to track that wide of an area is a pain in the butt. Also, I know you said you dropped the price, but if I was you, I'd raise it agian. Or, I'd prefer, lower the number of times it can be used (maybe 1d4+3 times per day) and lower the distance that they can travel (maybe 30 feet, but no more than 100 feet).

Anywho, that's my opinion on this idea. But I'm definetly going to steal this item. Cool concept.
