Persistant spell feat, best ones to pick?

Advice

Next level I'll have the persistant spell feat.(DM allows 3.5 material). This allows a personal spell to have a duration of 24 hrs. The spell needs to be 1st level, or 0 level, has to have a range of personal, and cannot be discharged/have a duration of instantaneous. I play an archer/wizard and so far i've come up with

arrow mind
shield
gravity bow

I was wondering if there are any else out there that you guys could think of that would be supersweet?

diplomacy 1d20 + 0 ⇒ (20) + 0 = 20

Don't know what arrow mind does. However Sheild would be my choice. Although Gravity Bow is also a very solid choice if you're any good at archery.

arrow mind allows you to attack with a bow without provoking attacks of opportunity. You also threaten squares within 5'.
Also, i can pick a few spells to have persistent. 4 or 5 at most.

wait, what level are you? you need to be able to cast 9th level spells. And what do you mean exactly by being an archer? Are you an arcane archer CDP? an eldritch knight? or just a random cleric with a bow? Probably you are into early epic levels. So, shield is a waste. +4 Ac at those levels is nearly meaningless for someone who is nearly a pure caster. And beside, a persistent shield is only worth like 10k of a mithril buckler +3. Are ou an arcane or divine caster? Knowing this would help with suggestion.

Anything that lasts 1 min/level or longer is usually not that hard to have up at the start of an encounter once you hit mid/high levels, so Persistent Spell is somewhat wasted on them, in my opinion. Unfortunately there aren't really many worthwhile 1st level spells with very short regular duration.

Vanish would be great for some character types, but as an archer/wizard you're probably going to break it in the first encounter anyway.

Shield or Gravity Bow are decent bets, for the longer duration spells. Expeditious Retreat may also be useful, though if your party casts Haste a lot anyway it might be a wasted effort most of the time.

I'm intrigued by vanish, what is that spell?

I googled that for you. ;-)

thanks tiny, knew that diplomacy roll was worth something

If 3.5 material is approved, Guided Shot from the Spell Compendium could be worth a look - assuming you can persist spells with a 1 round duration. It's basically improved precise shot for free - and it also eliminates range penalties and anything less than total concealment.

vanish is no good, it had a discharge condition wich make it not usable. Reduce person may be of you liking, +2 to hit is not that shabby and you do not lose damage on your weapon since is a projectile weapon. Warding Weapon may also be a good choice if you find yourself casting a lot in very bad places (i immagine your casting stat to not be that high since you need higt dex and not dumping str). Protection from is always a good one for the immunity to mind controlling effects.
