ok i am a 5th lvl monk and in the campaign we are playing we found a wand of wonder. he is using an extremely large table that he roles for the effects. me and a couple of the other characters have been using it on each other. so far these are the effects that my character has permanently.
he is a carrier of filth fever
light is reduced by 1 level in a 5ft radius around my character
holy symbols glow red in a 60 ft radius even non magical
my character has forgotten common
i've also gotten like +4 to strength and 4 extra hp. some temporary negative effects have taken place to my character too but they only lasted a few rounds or days.
my question is does anyone have any interesting ideas on how to role play/ use these new found powers?

Well, for Filth Fever, you could start sharpening your fingernails so your unarmed attack spreads it. But that might cause alignment issues. Of course, a Monk (supposedly the orderliest of the orderliest, no?) starts running around with a Wand of Wonder, one has to wonder (see what I did there) what he's thinking.

The question is do you want to keep the effects or remove them. If you wish to remove them, I suggest the following:
You can relearn Common. Ask your DM how long it will take. A heal spell should cure you from being the carrier of a disease. The other two effects are only going to be issues some of the time. Remove curse spell should work for the dimming of light around you and an atonement should suffice for having holy symbols glow around you.
If you choose to keep the effects (or at least have to put up with them for a while) then you roleplay accordingly. If you have another language, you can speak it. It may mean that someone in the party has to translate for you. Treat that person well.
Working in dimmer light isn't always a bad thing. Do you have darkvision or low-light vision? Perhaps you should invest in a pair of goggles of night.
You can now tell which items are holy symbols now if they all glow red. How brightly do they glow? Good question to ask your DM. It isn't going to be an issue all the time.

i'm a half elve so i do have low light vision. i was thinking about keeping them and using them to my advantage. this is my first time playing pathfinder so i'm not up on all the rules and stuff.
with the glowing holy symbols what ways would that work in my favor?
there's only one or two char. that don't speak elven so that isn't that hard i was thinking about getting a helm of telepathy and then taking a vow of silence, would that work?
also with filth fever would knowingly spreading it i'm assuming would be considered evil?
