While not a rules question per se this revolves around who is official when answering rules questions.
Other than a few people I am unsure of who on the boards works for paizo or can speak for paizo when answering rules questions. In the case of James Jacobs and a few others I can see clearly when they have developer or something similar in their title. But I have also seen a few people who either work at Paizo or are trusted or something. Is there a listing of the employees or the hierarchy of official responses?

The only things that are official are FAQs and Erratas.
Everything else should be treated as a Paizo employee telling you "how I would resolve this".
Granted, the rules design people (Jason, Sean, Stepehen) are closer to the "official" interpretation than others are (say, James, who is a creative director and doesn't do much rules writing per se).

Currently, Jason is the Lead Designer (a.k.a. head of rules writing people) with Sean K Reynolds and Stepehn Radney-McFarland as rules developers. However these lines are blurry, as sometimes other folks write rules elements too. If you're looking as to "who has the most to say about the official interpretation of the rules" it's Jason, Sean and Stephen.

Gorbacz has the right of it.
James Jacobs is great for knowing what the creative intention behind the design was and things of that nature. But rarely do these things matter for rules questions as most home games take place in an altered (if not completely original) game world.
While not strictly "official" any ruling that Sean, Stephen and/or Jason make is as close as your going to get without it actually being in the FAQ. Chances are if it is a hot issue that several people are wondering about and it recieves attention from a Dev it will get added to the FAQ at some point anyway.
...its the getting the attention of the Devs that is the tricky part. Lemme know when you find a good way of doing this. ;)

Actually, I am a developer.
The terminoligy between pen and paper RPGs and videogames is not 100% accurate in their crossover.
For tabletop RPG publishing, a "developer" (or "dev") is a person who takes a text turnover from a freelancer or designer and then polishes it up—he/she makes sure the rules work in the context of the story, and that the story works in the context of the rules. The developer is a sort of bridge between design and editorial—since designers don't necessarily have strong editorial skills and editors don't necessarily have strong design skills, the developer's job is to help facilitate the transition of a designed document to an edited one.
The term you're looking for is "designer." The designers at Paizo (Jason's the lead designer) are the ones who make the rules, check freelancer design of rules, and otherwise handle the raw creation and maintenance of rules-related content.

You can find a listing of Paizo employees here. Additionally, each Paizo employee has a little golem icon next to their name. :)

Is that your official answer?

Can we use that answer to bash people on their heads both in real life and on Intardwebz?

By little Golem Icon you mean an actual golem or any icon shape?
For example: Chris Lambertz you appear to have a Pi symbol next to your name rather than a golem and yet you work at Paizo. - Gauss
The 'pi' symbol is indeed the 'pi-zoh' golem. You can see a bigger version of it at the top left corner of this web-page, to the left of the word Paizo.

And is that Pi symbol the same for all paizo employees or does it vary depending on employee taste? For example: Does Chris have a Pi symbol and someone else who works at paizo have an omega symbol? - Gauss
P.S. Sorry to be dense about this Im just trying to understand the breakdown. Alot of people have icons next to thier names so I want to be specific.

For some reason Gauss inflections reminds me of a long time client I have.
Also Gauss, as is a pedigreed tradition here, any poster with a My Little Pony Avatar or who posts with the title Kobold/Court/Fool and/or Cleaver, may overrule even what staff members say. It just helps the rest of us keep any semblance of peace here.
