Advice for scaling up adventure modules?

I'm due to run the beginner box soon and wasnt to run crypt of the everflame and its its two sequels afterwards, then when i can get hold of it id like to run rise of the rune lords.

But for adventures that are meant for lower level characters that are being started by higher lvl ones need to be adjusted to fit, having never done this before is there any advice for scaling up an adventure to make it a suitable challenge for the players and still fit with whats going on?

I'm new to gm'ing and have no experience with doing this so any help would be very much appreciated.
