I am looking for some feedback on different ways that some DMs run their merchants. Personally, I've been having my merchants sell at book prices, but buy at 50% (adjusted up or down 10% for each step the merchant's attitude is made from "indifferent.") I usually also give book value when a character trades rather than sells for gold.
I've heard of some DMs merchants buying for as low as 30% and selling for as high as 150%. How do some of you guys do it?
