I fiddled with the beta a bit. I'm guessing I'm in the minority here, but I really didn't enjoy D2 very much compared to D1. And while the beta of D3 makes me think it'll be more enjoyable than D2, all it really did was make me want to play the original Diablo all over again.

You got to explore a bit of New Tristram, Old Tristram, and delve into the ruins of the church from D1, and even visit Adria's Hut for a minute. The beta ended with a somewhat enjoyable battle against an old foe* and could get you to around level 9 if you just played through once with that character.

As far as the stress-testing went, if I spent 10 hours playing the game throughout the weekend, I must have spent another 3 being unable to connect to the server. Hopefully they get that little issue worked out in time for launch =\

Played the beta as well. I liked it. Loved the fact your stash and gold are shared with all your characters.

Only thing I did not really like is lack of power/ skill choice when leveling up early.
