Illusion of calm and spells

Rules Questions

a battle starts and a character moves to the outskirts and casts illusion of calm to look like a person watching, avoiding, or otherwise not an integral part of the battle.

the character then starts casting spells into the battle.

how might another character recognize that the character under the illusion is casting spells.

lets consider the following circumstances, my take on them and what you think is correct.

The illusioned caster casts a personal spell (such as see invisible: I dont think any one should notice the spell is being cast unless they are adjacent to the caster and can hear the verbal component.

the illusioned caster casts a ranged spell with no direct visual effect such as summon monster or dispel magic : I dont think any one should notice the spell unless they are adjacent and can hear the verbal component.

the illusioned caster casts a ranged spell with a visible effect such as a ray, magic missile, or fireball. (I think that this kind of spell would be noticeable by others on the battle field however I wonder if some one could use a bluff or stealth check to attempt to cast the spell without people noticing?)

does any one know the spell illusion of calm?

Illusion of Calm:

Range personal
Target you
Duration 1 minute/level
Saving Throw Will disbelieve (on hit; see below); Spell Resistance no

DESCRIPTION
When casting this spell, you create an illusory double that takes the same space of you. That double makes it look like you are standing still, even when you are not. While under the effects of this spell, you do not provoke attacks of opportunity when you cast a spell, make a ranged attack with a thrown weapon, or move out of your first square during a move action. It does not hide ranged attacks made with any type of projectile weapon.

When a creature hits you with an attack of any type, it gains a saving throw to disbelieve the figment. On a successful saving throw, it successfully disbelieves and the spell’s effect ends for that creature.

bump to see if an one can answer

Hi! did you ever find a solution to all your questions? I am playing a Rogue/Investigator, and am looking about for similar reasons.

All illusion of calm does is make it so you do not provoke attacks of opportunity for casting spells/making ranged attacks/moving (from your first square).

That is all it does.

Yeah, the manifestations for the act of spellcasting may wellscrew you over here as nothing in this spell States that it hides them.

In short, people can still see that you are casting spells and may make Spellcraft checks to identify the spell. No AoOs though.
