I'm toying with the concept of a Bard that uses Words of Power instead of the normal Bard spell list.
This seems to make a much weaker spellcaster. A lot of standard spells either become unavailable or have much shorter duration.
But I do like the concept of a PC who is so much a wordsmith that words themselves acquire magical potential when he speaks.
Has anyone played a Bard using Words of Power? If so, what was it like? How did it change the character class?
