I would be embarassed to send pics of my "lair". It's just a messy living room with bookshelves filled with gaming books.
The only part of it that is unique is the "upper table". That's a smaller table 2 ft. by 4 ft. that stands 8½ in. above the 7 ft. by 3½ ft. table it sits on. There are low-level lights underneath it so that a character sheet or rule book can be read under it. The overhead lamp above it has a dimmer control at the DM's end, and there's a swing-arm lamp with another dimmer control attatched to the DM's end.
When we turn out the ambient lights and use the table lights, it creates an atmosphere that reduces out-of-game distractions. Especially since we have a no-cell-phones ban.

I can't really tell what it did cost, we built it slowly over last summer and I did not keep good track of the various material buys.
The expencive things where the glas plate and the solid wood desktop.we had a plan - which did not work out, we just improvised as we went along :-)

Yeah I figured as much. Ah well, I guess I'll just have to build a similar table slowly piece by piece here. It should only take me... oh, 30 years with my current spending budget. :D
