Eye for Talent human alternate racial trait

The Eye for Talent alternate human racial trait (APG) States that when the character acquires an animal companion, bonded mount, cohort, or familiar, that creature gains a +2 bonus to one ability score of the character's choice.

My question is does that also apply to eidolans.

I would say 'no', but figured I would ask before I veto the idea.

Nope. It was also released in the same book as the summoner, so I don't think it's likely it was an oversight.

That would be my ruling, but I figured it couldn't hurt to ask.

No, it would not. And it has also been further clarified that an eidolon does not count as an animal companion, etc for any feats or abilities for anything that does not specifically list the eidolon.
