{Spoilerific Campaign Update}
The conclusion of last night's session coincided with our completion of Richard Pett's
"The Wormwood Mutiny", Book 1 of the Adventure Path.
<> As expected, my players pushed the linear envelop as far as the setting and circumstance would allow.
<> They achieve level 4 ahead of the plotted XP arch with 7 players! This is a fairly serious achievement. This group killed Plugg and Owlbear on the seventh day at sea! Even with every encounter PUMPED UP, they only experienced real troubles in the final battle with the Queen and the Whale.
<> We (all) found the initial day to day tasks/rolls to be tedious. But the role play treasures that resulted from many of those episodes were priceless! Remember, this group is geared specifically for its strength in RP talent.
<> The final strategy/tactic deployed by my players (without giving away the brilliant blow by blow), left Scourge, Plugg*, Aretta, Fipps, Slippery Sil, Tam Tate and 5 other sailors stranded on Bonewrack Island.
<> We play every other Thursday night and stream our sessions live to my Twitch TV Channel.
* - With the death of Plugg so very early in the story, I had to make some hard decisions about how much I would alter the initial storyline. Well, fate dealt me a Royal Flush and I found myself lounging in the pool with the author a few months ago. I told him what my players had done and he absolutely loved the tale. I pitched my story arch idea that would explain and maintain continuity while allowing Plugg to re-enter the tale at a later time. He was very excited about it and gave me some pointers and some insight into Harrigan's head, based on these turn of events.
WOW. Just F'in WOW!
Thank you Rich.
Thank you to my amazing and talented players.
This will be one of the best EVER.

What an amazing final episode for the book. Farthing was brought to the BRINK of death in a surprise and flat-flooted attack from the Devil Fish, revived by quick party members, only to have Floater take a serious pounding from the BBEG in the final encounter, too far away for the rest of us to aid him in time (sneaky bastard should have waited for the party!) Thankfully, Sindara came to our rescue in the end.
This has been an extremely fun run. I feel like our group consistently made the zig course of action when the book was expecting the zag, and our role play allowed it to happen smoothly and with great rewards. Looking forward to starting in on book two!

Hah! Happy days Mike. I wish I could have been there to join in as the adventure ended. Be kind to them during Vaughn's and try to ignore his spelling mistakes:)
Huzzah!
