Okay I'm designing a god of blood, medicine, and the humors and am looking for a good favored weapon. I currently am floating between one of three choices.
1. kama: I had this written down originally, sharp edged cutting weapon that is light or one handed. Problem is that it doesn't feel like the weapon of a medical professional (if that makes any sense)
2. club/misery stick: If you look this up or remember it from the curse of the crimson throne, it is a long stick you use to diagnose people safely and it also counts as a club. Problem I have with it is that a cleric is already proficient with them and it always feels subpar to me to gain proficiency in a weapon I'm already proficient.
3. War razor: Just looked over this one and it seems cool and fits to the idea of a scalpel or surgical tool. My problem with it is that it is basically the exact same thing as a knife but with less to it.
Would love to hear peoples input on which one of these you think fits the best. If you need any more information let me know and I can try to provide whatever help you might need. Also these are by no means the only options if you can think of a new one that you think would fit perfectly let me know.

Hmm. My take on these:

Yep, the kama is an agricultural tool, end of. NOTY a physician's weapon.
2. club/misery stick: If you look this up or remember it from the curse of the crimson throne, it is a long stick you use to diagnose people safely and it also counts as a club. Problem I have with it is that a cleric is already proficient with them and it always feels subpar to me to gain proficiency in a weapon I'm already proficient.
IRL these sticks were long canes, not really usable as weapons.
3. War razor: Just looked over this one and it seems cool and fits to the idea of a scalpel or surgical tool. My problem with it is that it is basically the exact same thing as a knife but with less to it.
How about a 'war scalpel' that is functionally the same as a kukri instead? It's a viable weapon, unusual, and has the advantages of greater crit chances. The other weapon to consider is a falcata, which is very much ideal for blood-letting.
Or you could just add a new weapon ...

Thanks man I actually went with the Kukri for him. It seemed the most apt to handle the job of light utility item (scalpel) turned into a weapon. Also it has a nice super high crit range to match the scalpel's razor edge. Will probably tell my players that Sanguine's (the god in question) kukri's look more like a surgeons scalpel and less like the modern weapon.
P.S. Thanks for the responses man, the misery stick idea comes from the Curse of the crimson throne book and the pathfinder srd site which said you can use them as clubs as well. I always thought that would make for a cool weapon for a chirugeon alchemist.
