Just some clarifications I need with invisibility..

A creature can generally notice the presence of an active invisible creature within 30 feet with a DC 20 Perception check.
Can you detect an invisible creature with perception if he is beyond 30'?
If so, why even mention it?
I am assuming unless the spell is an Area spell or an touch/ranged attack you can't cast them against an invisible creature, correct? Does this mean you can't dispel invisibility?

I would say that you cannot detect the presence of an invisible creature outside of 30 feet but no doubt someone else will have a different reading of the rule.
I would also allow dispel magic to be cast at a square for the purpose of dispelling invisibility but really you want glitterdust or faerie fire or invisibility purge which are second level spells designed for this sort of thing.
