If a human gains racial hit dice, does he get bonus skill points for them from Skilled?

Rules Questions

If a human gains racial hit dice, such as from becoming a Skeletal Champion, does Skilled grant an extra skill point for each of the racial HD?

Skilled: Humans gain an additional skill rank at 1st level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

From the wording of Skilled, I'm inclined to believe it only applies to increases in level, but I figured I'd check.

Skilled only counts toward levels. Racial HD are not levels.

Humans never gain racial HD, but in theory yes, HD equate to skill points and feat progression as levels do.
But humans never gain racial HD. Never.

If the GM for some reason allows it skills and feats are also up for discussion.

Transformation into a skeleton does convert class levels to racial HD however. So it loses the bonus ranks anyway, even if it retains the skilled trait(which it does appear)

Where do the rules say the class ranks are converted to racial HD? I am sure that is not the case.

Getting reincarnated as another creature can grant you racial hit dice you didn't have before. Seeing as you keep all racial traits not based on your physical form, the question may well become pertinent then.

Where does it say you keep all racial traits not based on your previous form. Since you actually become a different creature why would you not lose any old racial benefits you had other than skill points already obtained.
The only reason I am not aruging against skill points and feats is because:

Skeleton

A skeleton drops any HD gained from class levels and changes racial HD to d8s. Creatures without racial HD are treated as if they have 1 racial HD. If the creature has more than 20 Hit Dice, it can't be made into a skeleton by the animate dead spell. A skeleton uses its Cha modifier (instead of its Con modifier) to determine bonus hit points.

Appears I was confused

would the HD added not be "undead HD" or "skeleton HD" rather than "human HD" and so you would not get human bonus on them anyway?

When you get the that template you are no longer human. Your type changes to undead.

Honestly,
I've always thought it should alter the mental stats as well (since theoretically those mental boosts/penalties are more from the way the brain is put together, not cultural), but that's not how the spell says it works.

As to racial traits that are mental, such as racial hatred (+2 vs group), or skill point per level, etc... I'd say since it's not addressed in the spell, they're lost. I'd fluff this under the 'remembers most of his former life'. Some of it's fuzzy, probably the stuff from when you were a kid, a lot of that stuff might be 'muscle memory' for things like racial hatred, and the extra skill point per level might be part of how a human brain works.

Regardless, you don't lose the human racial features - including skilled. If you gain another level after becoming a Skeletal Champion you most certainly DO get the benefit from Skilled, but the question is still whether or not skilled adds to the skill points gained from the 2HD gained as a Skeletal Champion.

HD you are correct. I reversed engineered the example in the book. As long as the human type is kept the skilled feature still applies to classes. I thought the human type was lost. If I had seen that before I did the math it would have saved me some time.
