I've done some searching already, but this question hasn't explicitly been answered as far as I can tell.
If I have an Oracle with the Lore Mystery who happens to have Sidestep Secret, and I get a Ring of Revelation with the Nature's Whisper revelation in it, and have ranks in Use Magic Device, can I use the Emulate a Class Feature option to make the Ring work?
If so, how long does it work for? For as long as I wear the ring? For the day?
The main reason I'm asking is, if it works, then such a character can use Cha instead of Dex for AC, Reflex saving throws, and CMD.

I kind of think no.
I mean you can emulate being able to turn undead to use a device, but you can't actually do that. Ask those nice zombies over there.
I think of this ring as giving you knowledge of a revelation. But if you don't have the divine essence or whatever to power it you get no benefit from it.
Another argument even more people than now are going to put ranks into UMD so they can use these rings. Not just to get more SAD, but for other things as well.
I mean you could arguably get the benefits of any revelation if you can do that.
Kind of think it goes beyond RAI.

I would agree that goes beyond RAI, I might allow it as a DM if and only if the characters history and affiliation with the deities that support his mystery having reasonable cross coverage.
For example Sarenrae shows up on the deity list for Life and Flame (you have to go look in your books for deities they aren't in the PRD.) So I may allow an Oracle of Life to use UMD to access a Ring of Revelation: Cinder Dance.

Although by RAW, I think you just need to emulate the class feature of oracle mystery, the DC depends on the the level requirement of the revelation itself. Like you need to be a 7th level Battle Mystery Oracle for Combat Healer, so it would be DC27 (From UMD your effective level is your check -20)

By RAW, Yes, this what I was thinking. And as far as I can tell, it works.
By RAI, No, it probably shouldn't work. Not to mention that this is for my PFS character, and I won't have the same GM. And also not to mention that it's for a Paladin X / Oracle of Lore 1.
In the end, I probably wouldn't even bother picking up the ring, just one of those things that crossed my mind if it worked or not.

There's no reason for this not to work by the rules. After the UMD roll you function as an oracle with the proper mystery class feature, meeting all requirements for using the ring. As is evident from the others who responded, there may be some more fluff or RAI based reason why a DM wouldn't allow it. There's even an argument to be had that, by the UMD rules, a non-oracle could use a ring of revelation. See here: http://paizo.com/forums/dmtz3ccn?APG-Ring-Of-Revelation-and-UMD#0.
As for how long it works, isn't there a line in the UMD description that says something to the effect of "you have to roll UMD every hour for ongoing effects"?
