For an upcoming campaign, I'm going to play the loyal man(?)-servant of one of the other player characters. Thinking of going in the butler direction: well mannered, loyal to a fault, always cleaning up after his employer, etc. No focus on combat, rather party buffer, potentially a healer as well.
I've got a few ideas of what might be good classes/builds, but I'm curious to see what others might suggest.
Thoughts?

Good calls! Bard is definitely in the running, though I hadn't thought of the dandy rouge or halfling.
I've also been tossing around the idea of going with an Oracle, either Lore for all the skill focus, or Life for the damage transfer, plus some cleric buffs and general party healing. The class concept just doesn't quite fit as well as a bard, however.

Don't forget about mending. Historically, mending was a large part of a valet's job.
I'd also suggest watching some Upstairs Downstairs or Downton Abbey too...

Well, who is the person your character is serving? That might also help determine what kind of skills the character would learn and want to be good at.
With the divine classes, my question would be can they serve their "master" while also serving their god? Oracle WOULD work better than Cleric in this regard, but working that out is something to consider, maybe. (It could also provide some interesting inner conflict.)
I like the bard suggestion too, and I might review some bard archetypes that best suit the flavor (if I wanted to design a "Jeeves," say, I'd go with Archivist). A weirder but interesting direction to go might be alchemist--still a skill monkey, got some buffing, poorer on healing. Another spellcaster choice could be witch--has some healing spells and the healing hex; perhaps the familiar is the family pet.
Also, if we want to be very pedantic about this, your character is in fact a valet (serves a person), not a butler (serves a household). :)

I would say go with a re-flavored version of the Gisha bard archetype. If he's a butler, it would make sense that he could do something similar to the 'tea ceremony' to buff the party for a while.
Another one might be a re-flavored Preacher Inquisitor. The idea of using his warning ability in an Alfred voice to protect your master amuses me.
Sensei Monk might be another option because of the strict discipline and such. You also gain diplomacy, knowledge skills, and Bard abilities. Depends on if you'd rather use hand to hand combat rather than a sword.
Edit: The more I think about it, the more I think a Sensei Monk would be perfect for this role. They get so many party buffing and support abilities, doesn't have to wear armor, would be able to max Wisdom rather than Str or Dex...

An inquisitor might make a great right hand man. Maybe not so much with the buffing as the bard, but you have access to some great divine spells, and a great array of useful skills and abilities, I mean monster lore is great for being a basket of knowledge the character you are serving.
Interesting, maybe a character with a divine mandate to serve a particular family, or something similar...
