Cold Iron Natural weapons.

Is there a way to get your natural attacks(or unarmed strikes) to count as cold iron for damage reduction? I would to be able to get this before level 6, and 3rd party and 3.5 is cool as well. Any advice?

No way to get it before level 6 that I know of in PF. In 3.5 I think it is possible, but I can't remember. I would check the WoTC optimization boards.

If there is a magic item in the 16,000 gp limit, that is cool too.

I don't know of an easy way to get it always-on in PF that early. A wand of versatile weapon, handed off to a caster, will do you pretty well when you know it's coming, but I don't know if that's exactly worth the cost.

Can versatile weapon be made into a potion or oil?

We use home-brewed tattoos.
Think of the opening sequence of the Kung Fu tv show. Where Qui Chang Kain gets the dragon brands by burning them into his forearms by picking up the Cauldron.

The cost of each brand is 8700 gp without an enhancement bonus added. It's a multislot item (meaning it uses a slot, but the slot is variable).

So I suggest you design your own method as an exercise in design. Or I could try to dig up our writeup, from the disaster that is my office.
