Ranger with a wand

Rules Questions

If a level 2 ranger gets a wand of "lead blades" does he need to treat it as a use magic device check until level 4?

Part two of the question- he has 4 levels of paladin. If that changes anything.

Thanks in advance

Spell Trigger: Spell trigger activation is similar to spell completion, but it's even simpler. No gestures or spell finishing is needed, just a special knowledge of spellcasting that an appropriate character would know, and a single word that must be spoken. Spell trigger items can be used by anyone whose class can cast the corresponding spell. This is the case even for a character who can't actually cast spells, such as a 3rd-level paladin. The user must still determine what spell is stored in the item before she can activate it. Activating a spell trigger item is a standard action and does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

Class have class spell list even before reaching level at which spellcasting feature is gained.

The only thing that four levels of Paladin change in this case is that the character has two spell list (overlaping in case of a few spells) and can use spell-trigger items belonging to either list.

A one-level ranger dip is a nice way to get a bunch of features: saves, class skills, skill points, martial weapon proficiency, and the ability to use some wands easily, such as a Wand of Cure Light Wounds.

Awesome

Thanks alot!

I could not find this answer at all.
