Coven and multiclass Witches

Does the recipient of a bonus caster level from the witch hex "coven" gain a witch caster level, or a caster level to whichever casting class?

For example, say you had a Witch 1 / Sorcerer 6 with Coven and 4 other Witches assisting with Coven. Could our Witch1/Sor6 cast a 10d6 Fireball using the 4 +1 caster levels bonuses contributed by the four other witches?

Well since the description of the Hex specifies "This bonus applies to the witch’s spells and all of her hexes" does seem to indicate it should only apply to the spells on the Witch spell list.
Now it doesn't state that explicitly but the inference seems clear.

I have been looking for information on the benefits of a coven but cannot find anything. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

The default Hag Coven and it's effects can be found in the Bestiary under the green hag listing.

I've listed it below from the d20pfsrd site for everyone's sake.

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/monstrous-humanoids/hag

Hag Covens:

When three hags of any type gather, they can form a coven to gain increased magical ability. Any combination of hags can form a coven, but green hags are the most common members of such foul gatherings.

Whenever all three hags of a particular coven are within 10 feet of one another, all three of them can work together to use any of the following spell-like abilities: animate dead, baleful polymorph (DC 18), blight (DC 17), bestow curse (DC 17), clairaudience/clairvoyance, charm monster (DC 17), commune, control weather, dream, forcecage, mind blank, mirage arcana (DC 18), reincarnate, speak with dead, veil (DC 19), vision.

All three hags must take a full-round action to take part in this form of cooperative magic. All coven spell-like abilities function at CL 9th (or at the highest CL available to the most powerful hag in the coven). The save DCs are Charisma-based, and function as if with a Charisma score of 16 unless one of the hags has a higher Charisma score, in which case the spell-like ability DCs are adjusted by that hag's Charisma modifier.

At the GM's discretion, certain more powerful hag covens might have additional spell-like abilities.

As you can see A hag coven is an amazingly powerful and useful thing to have, especially if you can throw an actual witch into it.
The only downside is dominating a hag enough to join and obey your coven.

Other than spells with a a high DC and CL? The cost is only the loss of an action from at a least 2 of the others.

But I would like more information as well.

The at-will, spell-like (woot component free casting) animate dead, clairvoyance, commune, reincarnate and speak with dead make this my go to power on any witch where leadership is allowed.

A witch who gets access to a coven and can bend it to his will becomes obscenely powerful and with a bit of prep any level witch becomes a nightmare for or against anything that tries to stand in his way.

I might have to take leadership for my witch and take the Coven hex!
