Vicious Stomping Rogue

Rules Questions

I'm writing up a rogue (bandit archetype) who is suppose to lead a group of 40 bandits and rules a crap hole town with an iron fist. He is sixth level.

I'm thinking of giving him two combat tricks to go with his 4 other feats.

Combat Reflexes
Improved Unarmed
Vicious Stomp
Combat Expertise
Improved Trip
Agile Maneuvers

So this is my question: do rogues get sneak attack against Prone Targets? It is kind of a pointless build if they don't.

nope. unless it's pinned, it does not lose its dex bonus.

Rogues get sneak attack when they have flanking or if an opponent is denied their dexterity bonus to AC. Prone does neither.

Eh, that's what I figured. Besides, he has a metric ton of minions. I'm sure someone can help him flank.

What would work is Power Attack> Cornugon Strike; Weapon Focus> Dazzling Display> Shatter Defenses> Gory Finish

Opponents are considered flatfooted and shaken after every power attack. when you deal a killing blow, shake and flatfoot in a 30 foot radius. Add in the thug archetype for longer shaken condition and a chance to frighten.

nice. I'm going to remember that for later. Thanks for the tip!

It might be good for you to start off with a level of Fighter or Barbarian. Both Power Attack and Weapon Focus need a +1 BAB.

You are probably right. I'm just going to leave him though. The only big difference would be a few skill points off, a few more HP, and one less trap sense.
