Hi, folks. I'm about to start playing a summoner, and thought it would be cool to pick up all the minis for monsters I am likely to summon.
I had expected that, given how frequently those spells are used, there would be multiple bundles with all the various levels of the spell, but in fact, I can't even find some of the creatures on that list on paizo's store or any other miniature site.
Anyone know a place to get all the minis? (I'm looking for prepainted)
Thanks,
Mark

You would think so..... Sadly no, there is no bundle.
The best I came up with was to make my own as round counters with the picture on them.
They are simple to make/print, just use whatever heavy paper your printer will handle.
Print them out to the size of the creature. This is also handy as you can make several sizes of each for things like reduce and growth (im playing a druid)

I have had the same problem since taking up PF and especially since my wife started to play. She ONLY plays Witch's. What we came up with is our local game store sells blank dice which are slightly oversized. She found a picture of a fox she likes and we just glued the fox pic on all sides minus one, which we glued Zzz's to denote hidden, sleeping, dead whatever and that goes face up or face down depending on the situation.
This was before the pawn stands from the BB were an obvious choice for making our own on card stock or index cards glued together for thickness.

For "Summon Nature's Ally" I have a bunch of cheap animal minis I mostly purchased from "US Toy" for a quarter each. I have lions, tigers, bears (oh my!), raptors, eagles, owls, mice (painted and roughed up to be "dire rats"), apes, horses, ponies... tons of animals.
I don't have any monster summoning specialists, but the fellow in our group who did play one was always borrowing my rhinoceroses and eagles. If I were playing a monster summoning specialist and I couldn't just use animal minis, I would just make my own minis from sculpey clay.

Reaper has an official witch that comes with a fox familiar. You can buy the fox seperately for i think $1.25. Glue it to a nickle , and add some green stuff if you want
Hmmm.. i really should paint mine. will post a piccy later if i get industrious.

Also handy if say, you want a war elephant! http://www.schleich-s.com/toys/new_heroes_fighter_elephant/ or a war rhino chariot http://www.schleich-s.com/toys/new_heroes_gladiator_with_battle_rhinoceros/
A bit pricy though and I am not sure about the scale. :)

Paizo doesn't seem to stock them, but Fiery Dragon put out a tile set of all the Summon Monster and Nature's Ally critters. They're not minis per se, but I think they do the job. I made photo copies of them, clipped them out and keep them in a cigar box for easy transport.

There's also Safari's "toobs" of creatures like this one.
You have to check the sizes described, but the one linked should have creatures about the right size for large to huge creatures.
If you're okay with tokens, there's going be that Bestiary Box coming out, which will of course have every monster in the Bestiary, which includes of course all the summon monsters.

Find a museum and stop by the cheap children's toys section. There will be a lot of animals, nice colorful plastic in proper colors. They won't have proper bases, but you can either glue them on or just drop them on the map that way. You're on your own once you get outside of the animal range.
(Though I did find one museum once that had a bunch of dinosaur skeleton minis. I grabbed a bundle -- very cool for your necromancer, or you can just use them as regular dinosaurs.)

Schleich, Papo and Safari all make a wide variety of animal figures, but they're scaled such that they could only be used to represent Dire or Giant versions, making them entirely unsuitable for most summoned creatures. I've got many of them myself.
A better bet would be Playmobil. Still a little oversized but not as much as Schleich-Papo-Safari, and you would be amazed at the number of different creature types Playmobil makes: gazelle, cape buffalo, camel, giraffe...I've got several breeds of dog, plus cats, rats, ducks, rabbits, falcons, vultures, parrots, hyenas, wolves, a leopard, a raccoon, badgers, and more. A lot of them also have juvenile versions of the animals, which helps with the size.
