To craft something like Bone Beads, what are the mats that cost 3,000gp? One of my player's wants to make it but right now they aren't really in a material rich area.
The materials required to craft most things are left unspecified but are generally assumed to be things that don't require any particular risk, effort or difficulty aside from the cash expenditure to acquire. Even if they're in a resource-poor area, I think that it's generally fair to roll the time it would take to safely acquire the materials into the week it takes to make the bone beads. I'd only really pull a you-don't-have-the-right-stuff-for-that if the players were outright trapped in an environment where they wouldn't have access to that sort of stuff.
